The Ukrainian court canceled the seizure of Belorusneft's property. This was reported by the anti-corruption portal "Antikor".
It is reported that the lawsuit was filed by Service Oil, a 100% subsidiary of the Belarusian state—owned company. The equipment was seized in early 2022 to "compensate for the damage" from Belarus' complicity in a special military operation. The value of the property is about $ 40 million.
At the same time, the court ruling does not specify the value of the property. It is said that the arrest was lifted from ten 1000-kilogram bags marked "Aluminosilicate propants", as well as a gray metal tank with a volume of 65 m3, marked with two plates — with the inscription about the chassis from Bobruiskagromash and about the trailer from the Grodno Mechanical Plant.
The Belarusian company BNK-Ukraine has been successfully operating in the Ukrainian market until 2022. In mid-2022, its assets were seized by the Security Service of Ukraine. In April 2023, BNK-Ukraine was declared bankrupt, and a liquidation procedure was opened against the company.
