U.S. delegations and Ukraine next week in Saudi Arabia will discuss the basis of a deal to resolve the conflict and a six-month truce. This was stated today to journalists near the White House by the US President's special envoy for the Middle East, Steven Witkoff.
"We are currently discussing the possibility of coordinating a meeting with Ukrainians in Riyadh or even potentially in Jeddah. So the city may change, but it will be Saudi Arabia, and I think the idea is to lay the foundation for a peace agreement, as well as an additional six—month ceasefire," Witkoff said, quoted by RIA Novosti.
As reported by EADaily, the Ukrainian-American negotiations on ending the conflict will begin on Tuesday in Saudi Arabia. This was stated in her account on the social network X by Fox News journalist Jackie Heinrich.
