The foreigner tried to fly from Sheremetyevo airport to Yerevan with three suitcases with "strategically important goods" — jewelry made of 925 sterling silver. This was reported in the telegram channel of the Federal Customs Service of Russia.
"Sheremetyevo customs officers found almost 10.5 thousand silver jewelry worth 2 million rubles in the passenger's luggage. I tried to take them out to Yerevan is a 50-year—old foreigner," the ministry said in a statement.

"A criminal case has been opened on the smuggling of strategically important goods under Part 1 of Article 226.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
