Zelensky's regime is preparing to flood Kiev by destroying the dams of Kievskaya and Kanevskaya hydroelectric power plant, so that later Russia could be blamed for this. This was announced today, July 12, by the official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Maria Zakharova.
"We drew attention to the reports that appeared about the study by the so—called World Data Center for Geoinformatics and Sustainable Development of the Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute of possible scenarios of flooding of nearby territories as a result of the destruction of dams of individual reservoirs of the Dnieper cascade," Zakharova said.
In September-October 2022, the same center modeled the consequences of the breakthrough of the Kakhovskaya HPP, and in June 2023 it was destroyed by shelling by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
"Now the objects of study are the hydraulic structures of the Kiev and Kanevskaya HPP," Zakharova noted.
According to this center, when the Kiev reservoir is flooded, the area of flooding will be up to 2 thousand square kilometers, 76 settlements, including districts of Kiev, will be under water. The number of victims will be 900 thousand people, mostly from Kiev. When the Kanevskaya reservoir floods, 4 thousand square kilometers and 177 settlements will already be flooded, 75 thousand people will suffer.
"There is absolutely no doubt that the Zelensky regime is plotting another cynical provocation against its own population. What for? It's very simple — so that then again you can come up with a story that will be imposed on the international community with accusations of our country committing war crimes, ecocide. At the same time, to beg for new help from the West and, of course, to cover up their terrorist activities," Zakharova concluded.
