The number of injured at the Kemerovo Winter Cherry shopping mall fire has increased to 76, 26 of them are children, TASS reports citing a source at the Russian Emergency Ministry.
According to the source, 14 people are in hospitals, including two children. 62 more injured (with 25 children among them) are rendered medical assistance on outpatient basis.
The fire at the Winter Cherry shopping mall occurred on March 25. It claimed lives of 64 people including 41 children. Bodies of 27 victims have been identified. March 28 is declared a day of mourning in Russia.
The Russian investigation Committee brought charges against five individuals who were detained. Besides, a foreign citizen was identified who disseminated fake reports on the number of victims with the aim to destabilize the situation in the region.
