Vietnam is planning to increase its annual trade turnover with Russia up to $10bn, Vietnamese Foreign Minister Phạm Bình Minh has announced after a meeting with his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov.
According to the Vietnamese diplomat, in 2017, the figure grew by 31% and totaled $3.5bn. Now Vietnam is interested in engaging Russia in its first nuclear power plant construction, cooperation in fuel, energy and trade fields.
