Russian Ambassador to the USA Anatoly Antonov has told reporters on provocations during the early voting at the Russian presidential election in the United States. According to him, the procedure was democratic, in accordance with the Russian legislation, but several incidents were registered.
“I cannot tell you that everything was 100% like we planned, because, unfortunately, there were provocations. I think we should not conceal it. There were people who, I think, do not understand what the presidential election is and how it is important not to interfere, but, on the contrary, express one’s own firm will,” the diplomat said.
According to him, offices where the voting procedure was to be organized were “pourev over by dirt.”
Besides, people who agreed to provide offices for voting, threatened and were caused problems, so they had to refuse. Antonov believes that agencies in charge in the USA must be interested in the provocations during the voting process.
