Ukraine’s Supreme Rada has dismissed Prosecutor General Viktor Shokin. 289 MPs voted for the dismissal on Mar 29.
As EADaily reported earlier, in Feb 2016 Ukraine’s President Petro Poroshenko asked Shokin to resign. Later member of the Petro Poroshenko Bloc Mustafa Nayyem said that on Feb 16 Shokin came back from his leave and sent in his resignation.
Shokin was appointed Prosecutor General on Feb 10 2015.
