In 2016, land-based defense missile systems and new-generation drones will deployed on the Kuril Islands, Russia’s Defense Minister Sergey Shoygu has announced today at a meeting of the defense ministry board.
“We are conduction scheduled re-equipment of our military units on the Kuril Islands. This year, Bal and Bastion coastal missile defense systems, Eleron-3 new-generation drones will be deployed there,” he explained.
