The dismissed head of the state aviation service of Ukraine Denis Antonyuk has addressed Ukraine’s Attorney General Viktor Shokin over what he called unlawful dismissal “for illegal actions of a civil servant.” Antonyuk posted a copy of the application on Facebook.
He said the actions of Mikheil Saakashvili, head of the Odessa Regional Administration “constitute an offence” under Article 364 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (abuse of power or position). Antonyuk said he was dismissed not as stipulated by law. Saakashvili had no right to participate in the meeting of the Commission.
Antonyuk accused Saakashvili of acting in favor of Atlasjet Ukraine airline and claiming compensation of “moral damage” for 1 million hryvnias. He said he could be dismissed only after official investigation.
