Mikhail Golovko, a Ukrainian parliamentarian, member of the ultra-nationalist Svoboda (Liberty) party, has called on the parliamentarians to demand resignation of the cabinet headed by Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk.
“The government has failed its mission, and Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk has proved it incompetence as the head of the cabinet. Therefore, as parliamentarians we must demand resignation of the government and the prime minister,” Golovko said at the Supreme Rada today, on March 18.
The parliamentarian pointed at the “slumping economy, a 22% industrial decline, when every fourth enterprise has been closed down.” “Our foreign debt has grown to $136 billion,” Golovko said.
As EAD reported earlier, the International Monetary Fund predicted a 5.5% decline of GDP in Ukraine in 2015 and estimated the current economic decline at 6.9%, which meets the Ukrainian government’s forecasts.
