Kiev conducts firing military exercises near border of Lugansk and Donetsk republics

Contrary to the Minsk agreements, the Ukrainian military commandment is strengthening the warfare potential near the border of Donetsk and Lugansk republics and continues military preparations. Today, Kiev has started battle drills close to the contact line with positions of Donbass self-defense forces, the defense ministry of the Donetsk People’s Republic informs.

“According to a report of a competent source in the Ukrainian Armed Forces, today, they are starting drills with battle shooting in northwest from Gorlovka, in the town of Mayorsk,” writes the Donetsk News Agency citing the defense ministry. The ministry stresses that it would be very difficult to observe the distance set in the Minsk agreements, taking into account location of Mayorsk.

As representative of the Lugansk People’s Republic in the contact group Vladimir Deynego says, simultaneously, Ukraine has been strengthening its warfare potential in areas close to the conflict zone. “They are building fortifications, concentrate weapons and troops; warfare instructors from the USA have arrived in Kharkov. According to our intelligence, in the security zone one can spot concentrations of heavy artillery, weapons and tanks,” he informs.

According to the Minsk agreements signed on February 12, the conflict parties in Donbass should withdraw heavy weapons from the contact line within similar distances. It is need to establish a security zone.
