Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) has withdrawn 90% of heavy weapons from the line of contact in Donetsk, Alexander Zakharchenko, Head of DPR, said on February 26.
“To implement the Minsk Agreements of February 12, the DPR forces have pulled back heavy weapons to the distance agreed upon beforehand. We have pulled back 90%. It is artillery, mortars and other weapons,” Zakharchenko said. He warned to return the weapons to the line of contact unless Kiev starts withdrawing weapons by 7:00pm Moscow time on February 27.
“Donetsk People’s Republic gives Kiev time until 7:00 p.m. Moscow time on February 27 to start withdrawing its weapons in line with the Minsk Agreements of February 12. Otherwise, the DPR reserves the right to return the hardware to the positions as of Feb 12 2015," Zakharchenko explained.
