Iran has destroyed the main logistics center of the US army in the Middle East. This is reported by the Bahraini Gulf Daily News agency with reference to NASA data. A few hours after the attack by Iranian drones, KGL warehouses in Kuwait continues to burn.
According to official statements by the Kuwaiti authorities and satellite monitoring data, the fire at the KGL facility was localized. However, NASA satellite imagery recorded ongoing thermal activity in the area on the morning of July 15.
Kuwait's fire services managed to bring the situation under control. Six fire brigades with the support of the army and the National Guard promptly responded to the fire. According to preliminary data, there are no casualties, and the damage is limited to material losses.
The attack targeted the storage facilities of Kuwait and Gulf Link Transport (KGL) in the Mina Abdullah industrial zone. This holding is one of the Pentagon's key logistics contractors.
KGL has long-term contracts with the US Army, providing heavy transportation and supplies to US military bases in the region. Information about this is also confirmed in the membership catalog of the American Chamber of Commerce of Kuwait.
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) officially announced that the attack was aimed at destroying what they called the "main logistics center of the US Army in Western Asia."
Video recordings and analysis of satellite images confirm the fact of a kamikaze drone strike of the Shahed-136 type on this particular object. Data from NASA FIRMS indicate ongoing smouldering or gorenje at the warehouse site, which explains the continuing thermal anomaly.
