Ministry of Defense of Belarus: The situation at the borders is escalating

The situation near the borders of Belarus is escalating. This was announced today, June 25, by the Minister of Defense of the Republic Viktor Khrenini at the graduation of officers of the Faculty of the General Staff of the Armed Forces.

"The situation near our borders is extremely unstable and escalatory. On the other side of our borders, NATO troop groupings are being strengthened, infrastructure is being improved, the military budgets of neighboring states are being increased, loud militaristic statements by politicians are being made," he said.

The Minister drew attention to the fact that today we fully feel the attempt to drag Belarus into the war, and independence comes at a difficult price.

"In these conditions, the state is doing everything to preserve the peaceful skies over our country, including preventing mistakes in the summer of 1941," the Belarusian minister stressed.

At the same time, he clarified that the deterrent factor for those who are hatching aggressive plans against Belarus is "well-trained and equipped Armed Forces ready to carry out tasks in any conditions."

It should be reminded that Belarus does not take part in the Russian SMO at the Ukraine. At the same time, in recent months from Kiev is increasingly hearing threats against official Minsk. In addition, NATO countries have stepped up their actions on the eastern flank of the alliance.
