So far there is no clear evidence that the drone that fell in Romania is Russian. Therefore, all the accusations against Moscow are groundless.
He expressed this opinion in a comment to the agency Lenta.ru First Deputy chairman of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs Alexei Chepa. In his opinion, the West is trying to shift responsibility.
The statement came in response to a speech by German Foreign Minister Johann Vadefulya, who said that NATO and the European Union (EU) would give a joint response to Russia because of the UAV crash in Romania.
Vadefulh stressed that Germany, as a NATO member, will continue to resolutely support Ukraine and strengthen Europe's defense capability.
The deputy chairman of the parliamentary committee in response said that threats against Russia are nothing more than an attempt to shift responsibility from a sore head to a healthy one.
The deputy stressed that there is no evidence that the drone is of Russian origin, moreover, Russia does not use such drones.
"I would suggest that the representative of the German military department pay special attention to the fact that unmanned aerial vehicles are being attacked on Russian territory by NATO countries. There is also constant support and adjustment of the actions of the Air Forces of Ukraine, including NATO-made weapons. I would recommend paying special attention to this," Chepa said.
As reported by EADaily, earlier, the head of the NATO Military Committee, Admiral Giuseppe Cavo Dragone, called on Europe to stop overreacting to drone flights in The Baltic States and Romania.
