In the Romanian city of Galac, which is located in the east of the country, near the border with In the Odessa region, an unmanned aerial vehicle crashed into a residential building. An explosion was heard during the collision. A fire started in one of the apartments.
This was reported on Friday, May 29, the publication reports Mediafax, referring to the press service of the Romanian Emergency Response Inspectorate (IGSU). According to preliminary information, two people were injured. About 70 residents were evacuated from the house, some of them left the building on their own.
The published statement says that the drone fell on a residential building, as a result of which an apartment broke out on the 10th floor. IGSU Galac forces arrived at the scene, as well as other units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and specialized SRI teams to eliminate the consequences and ensure security.
It is reported that two people who were in the apartment that caught fire — a woman and a 14-year—old teenager - managed to run out to a safe place. Doctors diagnosed the woman with first—degree burns, the boy had a severe panic attack. Both were hospitalized.
Earlier, EADaily reported that in Latvia on May 23, an unmanned aerial vehicle of unknown origin crashed into Lake Drija in the south-east of the country, detonation occurred.
