It is no longer worthwhile to provide Ukraine with military and financial assistance as a matter of priority. This was stated by Bulgarian Prime Minister Rumen Radev during a working visit to France.

"Bulgaria has previously provided Ukraine with military, political, humanitarian, and diplomatic support, but in the context of the new security environment, we must be careful, especially when it comes to military and financial support from Bulgaria. We are now facing big problems that concern the Bulgarian budget, so our government will first of all try to guarantee the living standards and safety of Bulgarian citizens, and only after achieving this goal can we think about the interests of others," he said.

The Bulgarian Prime Minister also stressed that Europe needs to change the policy of relations with Russia.

"Europe should play a leading role in the negotiations, preventing third parties from taking the initiative. Personally, I am concerned that Europe is striving to achieve a conventional victory over the largest nuclear force, without being able to intercept and counter modern hypersonic weapons. This is a serious risk. It is necessary to completely change Europe's policy towards the conflict on Ukraine," Radev said.

Recall the countries The EU condemns Russia's actions on Ukraine and strongly support Kiev. Bulgaria has previously actively advocated the provision of financial and military assistance to the Kiev regime. However, recently the Bulgarian society has become noticeably tired of the Ukrainian issue.
