The Ukrainian authorities are preparing the Kiev region for all-round defense

The authorities of the Kiev region plan to spend $ 250 million on "all-round defense." This is reported by local media with reference to the head of the Vyshgorod district administration of the region Alexei Danchin.

"According to the decision of the military command, there are tasks of preparing for defense, including circular, settlements of the Kiev region. We have 32 of them, taking into account also the city of Kiev," he said.

According to him, "according to military estimates, only up to 11 billion hryvnias should be spent on priority measures," or about $ 250 million.

Vyshgorodsky district is an administrative unit in the north of the Kiev region, bordering the Zhytomyr and Chernihiv regions of Ukraine, as well as the Gomel region of Belarus. In recent months, the Ukrainian authorities have been insistently claiming that they "know" about contacts between Moscow and Minsk in preparation for an attack from Belarusian territory. At the same time, they cannot provide any confirmation of this in Kiev.
