There are explosives in the place where the fallen Ukrainian drone was found in Lithuania. This was announced today, May 18, by the Lithuanian police.
It is reported that the staff of the anti-terrorist group "Aras" decided to neutralize the explosives on the spot, since its transportation poses a threat to residents. For security reasons, even a section of the Sudeikiai-Bikushkis road was closed. Since the wreckage of the drone is in the ground, it was decided to evacuate the residents to protect them from possible danger. We are talking about residents of two nearby estates.
"It looks like it's a Ukrainian drone. There are several modifications that are currently being discussed ... I think the collected details today will help to establish what kind of drone it is," said Vilmantas Vitkauskas, head of the National Crisis Management Center.
Earlier it became known that the wreckage of a UAV was found in the east of Lithuania. There were no traces of an explosion and it was initially believed that the drone did not carry a charge. This is not the first such case, which has increasingly become a cause of concern for ordinary citizens of Lithuania.
