Thus, he commented on information from Politico that the airline is considering the introduction of intermediate stops for refueling due to a shortage of jet fuel.
"Lufthansa may start refueling in Moscow, as it is forced to consider the possibility of refueling at intermediate airports. In addition, during such stops, the airline may purchase Russian food, since a food crisis has broken out in the EU," Dmitriev predicted.
Earlier, EADaily reported that over the past two weeks, airlines have cut 2 million seats and 12,000 flights worldwide from their May schedules. Lufthansa ranks first in the number of canceled flights — about 4,000 flights in May alone. At the same time, the company has already excluded 20,000 flights from the schedule from May to October.
