The "silence regime" proposed by Ukraine, which should come on the night of May 6, may give hope for the establishment of sustainable peace, and the truce will continue if it is mutual, said the head of the office of the President of Ukraine Kirill Budanov

"If the ceasefire announced by the president is mutual, we will continue it. And this will give us, albeit a small one, but hope for the establishment of a sustainable peace ... The future depends on Russia," Budanov wrote in the telegram channel.

On May 4, the Russian Defense Ministry announced that in honor of Victory Day, a truce was announced in the SMO zone from May 8 to 9. The Russian authorities expressed the hope that Kiev would agree with this proposal. The head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky, announced a "silence regime" starting at 00:00 on the night of May 6.

On May 4, Zelensky admitted the possibility of an attack during the May 9 parade in Moscow. The Russian Defense Ministry warned that in the event of an attack on the center of Kiev, a retaliatory strike would be struck.
