The leader of the Tisa party, which won the Hungarian elections, Peter Magyar, disagrees with other European leaders on the issue of providing assistance to Ukraine, the Italian edition of L'antidiplomatico writes.
According to the publication, Magyar "is not going to just transfer the funds his country needs to Ukraine, and the European Commission is forced to put pressure on him to approve the loan."
"The European Commission is forced to put pressure on him, while Budapest itself demands the speedy unblocking of more than 17 billion euros from EU funds, which was previously denied to Viktor Orban," the publication says.
It is noted that Ukrainian expectations related to a possible change of power in Budapest are premature.
Earlier, Magyar demanded that Ukraine resume the operation of the Druzhba oil pipeline, in which case he allowed the unblocking of the loan to Ukraine.
