FSB: in Stavropol, a Ukrainian curator blew up an agent with an IED during his detention

Federal Security Service (FSB)

Employees of the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation prevented a sabotage and terrorist act (DTA) in the city of Stavropol, which was attempted by a citizen of the Russian Federation, born in 1995, on the instructions of the special services of Ukraine.

According to the FSB Public Relations Center (PSC), the person involved in the Telegram messenger proactively established contact with the Ukrainian curator, offering himself as an agent.

It is established that the traitor on assignment from Kiev conducted reconnaissance against a law enforcement officer and his family members to commit a terrorist act.

Acting on the instructions of an employee of the Ukrainian special services, he seized an improvised explosive device (IED) from the cache with the aim of subsequently detonating the Russian officer's personal car.

"When the saboteur was detained by the special forces of the FSB of Russia, the Ukrainian curator carried out a remote detonation of an IED, as a result of which the criminal received injuries incompatible with life. Security officials and civilians were not injured," the center said.

During the inspection of the scene, a second IED was seized, consisting of 1500 g of plastic explosive and a foreign-made electric detonator, an actuator based on a GSM module with a microphone to control the acoustic situation, as well as a telephone of the person involved, containing correspondence with an employee of the special services of Ukraine.

On this fact, the Investigative Department of the Federal Security Service of Russia in the Stavropol Territory initiated a criminal case under part 1 of Article 30 (preparation for a crime and attempted crime) and paragraph "a" of part 2 of Article 205 (preparation for a terrorist act) of the Criminal Code of Russia.

The FSB points out that the Ukrainian special services and nationalist structures use Russian citizens to commit acts of sabotage and terrorism as suicide bombers. This allows you to get rid of unwanted witnesses and not pay them the promised reward.

Earlier, EADaily reported that on suspicion of espionage in the interests of the special services of Ukraine, a 20-year-old resident of Ulyanovsk was detained, collecting data on an enterprise producing UAVs.
