In the Kherson region, where the armed conflict takes place mainly along the banks of the Dnieper, the nature of the fighting has undergone significant changes due to the development of unmanned systems.
This fact was pointed out in a comment to RIA Novosti by the head of the Kherson region, Vladimir Saldo. He stressed that today on the battlefield it is no longer possible to meet classic large-scale forcing head-on.
"The line of combat contact on the Dnieper today is not at all the same as it was two or three years ago. The development of unmanned systems has completely changed the nature of the fighting in this area," the governor stated.
He explained that the total destruction zone of the UAV reaches at least 15 kilometers on both sides of the Dnieper. Any movement of equipment, boats, personnel instantly determines them in the risk zone.
"Therefore, it is no longer possible to talk about classic large-scale forcing head-on today. This is an extremely difficult task for any party," concluded Saldo.
Earlier, EADaily reported that the troops of the Kiev regime struck the territory of a kindergarten in the Kherson region at a time when dozens of children were in the preschool.
