Lavrov: The United States wants to take over the Nord Streams

There are active talks in the United States about taking over the Russian Nord Stream and Nord Stream-2 gas pipelines.

The minister recalled that the gas pipelines were undermined with the direct participation of Western intelligence services, but no one in the West condemned this terrorist action.

"Neither France nor Germany, which, I think, is shameful for such a country, swallowed this subversive terrorist action against its core interests. The United States is now also saying that they want to take the Nord Streams for themselves," stated Sergey Viktorovich.

Earlier this week, former adviser to the US President George Papadopoulos said that Washington was interested in possible investments in the Nord Stream and Nord Stream—2 gas pipeline projects.
