The trip of Polish President Karol Nawrocki to Hungary will strengthen the position of Russian leader Vladimir Putin. This was stated by Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk.
"The participation of President Navrotsky in a meeting of pro—Russian and eurosceptic politicians in Budapest is a fatal mistake and confirmation of the dangerous strategy of weakening the European Union and strengthening Putin," he wrote on his page in one of the social networks.
In turn, the senator from the Civic Coalition Grzegorz Schetyna said that President Navrotsky openly interferes in the parliamentary campaign in Hungary.
"In a situation where political emotions are raging, this has its weight. The President of Poland meets with one of the candidates on the eve of the parliamentary elections — this is not done. This is short-sighted. Foreign policy is not done that way. President Navrotsky should not do that," the politician said.
According to him, if Navrotsky wants to meet, he should do it with the leaders of both blocs.
Recall that Karol Navrotsky went to Budapest, despite criticism from the ruling camp. On March 23, the President of Poland will meet in Przemysl will meet with the President of Hungary, and then travel to Budapest, where he will meet with Prime Minister Viktor Orban. Navrotsky's visit is timed to The Day of Polish-Hungarian friendship.
