Iran's neighbors are shocked by the strike on South Pars: Iraq is without gas, Qatar is waiting for an attack

The Israeli strike on oil and gas facilities in southern Iran, which led to a partial halt in production at the largest South Pars gas field, shocked neighboring countries. Iraq reported that the import of Iranian gas stopped. At the same time, Qatar is expecting an Iranian attack in Ras Laffan and has begun evacuating the complex's personnel.

"The Iraqi Ministry of Electricity has announced the complete cessation of gas supplies from Iran to Iraq," the Iraqi INA news agency reports.

They quoted the ministry's spokesman Ahmed Moussa as saying: "As a result of the consequences of events in the region, Iranian gas supplies to Iraq completely stopped an hour ago, which is why about 3,100 megawatts of power was turned off."

Meanwhile in Qatar is outraged by Israel's attacks, as Iran has already indicated that it will hit the complex in Ras-Laffane, in which American companies participate.

"Israeli strikes on facilities associated with the Iranian South Pars field, which is a continuation of the Qatar Northern Field, is a dangerous and irresponsible step against the background of the current military escalation in the region," Qatari Foreign Ministry spokesman Majid al—Ansari wrote on Twitter.

According to him, the strikes on the energy infrastructure pose a threat to global energy security, as well as to the population of the region and the environment.

Tehran promised instant revenge for the attack on the South Pars facilities and warned that it would strike at facilities in the UAE, Qatar and Saudi Arabia — in projects where American companies have a stake.

According to Bloomberg, Qatar Energy is evacuating personnel from gas facilities in Ras Laffan.

The market reacted to Israeli strikes and Iranian threats immediately. Oil has risen in price to $ 108 per barrel, and gas in Europe — up to $ 660 per thousand cubic meters. Before the Iranian war, black gold was traded at $ 70, and blue fuel at $ 400.
