Israeli Ambassador to Russia's Oded Yosef said that Russia's position in connection with the US-Israeli strikes on Iran is "one-sided." The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, commented on this statement at the request of RBC.
"I believe that Russia can and should play an important role, but at the same time Moscow's position cannot be one—sided as it is now," he said, answering the question whether Russia could be a mediator in resolving the current situation around Iran.
He stressed that Russia and Israel have long-standing relations in which both countries are interested.
"Russia's position is objective, based on facts," Zakharova snapped.
