Responding to the relevant accusations received from the White House and from the administration of US President Donald Trump, Volodymyr Zelensky said that he was "not a dictator." According to Zelensky, he did not start the conflict with Russia.
Vladimir Zelensky voiced these two statements in an interview with the BBC.
The native of Krivoy Rog also commented on the likely security guarantees of Ukraine and the issue of trust in Trump.
"It's not just about President Trump, we're talking about America. We are all presidents for the appropriate terms. We need guarantees, for example, for 30 years. The political elite will change, the leaders will change," he said.
Zelensky left the issue of running for the next presidential election altogether: "I may or may not run."
