A 33-year-old resident of the Rivne region was detained on suspicion of explosions in Lviv. This is reported by the National Police of Ukraine.

"As a result of joint operational activities, the police, together with the border guards of the 7th Carpathian border detachment, located and detained the malefactor within a few hours in the controlled border area of the city of Stary Sambor. She turned out to be a 33-year—old resident of the Rivne region," the department's telegram channel says.

It is alleged that the woman acted on the instructions of a "curator" from the Russian special services. She made improvised explosive devices and installed them in garbage cans in pre-determined places in the center of Lviv.

The explosions thundered around 00:30, while 25 people were allegedly injured and a police officer was killed. The victims received injuries of varying severity, 11 of them were hospitalized, six law enforcement officers are in serious condition.

The "Russian trace" was also announced by the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Igor Klimenko.

"There is every reason to believe that the crime was committed by order of Russia. At the same time, our recruited citizens were used. I heard the first results of the investigation. The video from the surveillance cameras made it possible to quickly trace the route of the terrorist's movement and record the very moment of the installation of the explosive device," he said.

Meanwhile, Ukrainian telegram channels published a photo of the detainee without a blurr.
