Dutch mercenaries operate Western aircraft supplied to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, they should not expect mercy. This was stated at a briefing by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova.
"First, The Hague supplied the Kiev regime with 24 decommissioned F-16 fighter jets. Now, it seems, decommissioned pilots have been added to the decommissioned equipment. According to the classics of the genre, the next stage is, apparently, the downed pilots. There is an example of Dutch pragmatism," the diplomat noted.
According to her, this is "far from the first time that Dutch mercenaries have been spotted in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Ukraine".
"We see that the Netherlands is increasingly being drawn into a direct conflict with Russia. And in this regard, I would like to remind you once again that mercenaries are not subject to international law, they do not fall under the Geneva Convention. We also recommend reading eyewitness accounts to them before going to the front," Zakharova added, quoted by TASS.
The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry warned:
"Any so-called foreign specialists present at the Ukraine, taking part in hostilities against the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in any way, become legitimate military targets, regardless of how their presence on the territory is formalized. Ukraine. I think they should not expect mercy."
