European countries are under stress and fear, as serious companies are leaving the continent amid the loss of competitiveness by the European Union, Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico said.
The politician shared his opinion with journalists following the results of the informal summit in In Brussels, his comment was published on the social network Facebook❶.
Fico noted that some heads of state talked about which serious firms had left their territory, how many percent we had lost in the chemical industry and other industries.
"The whole of Europe is in stress and fear. We all know that if we don't do anything this year or early next year, more and more companies will gradually leave us... we have a serious problem in Europe," the Slovak prime minister stated.
According to him, the European Commission is aware of the threat and is going to present its proposals to improve the competitiveness of the European Union at the summit in March.
