The US used Pakistan and threw it away like toilet paper. This statement was made by the head of the Pakistani Ministry of Defense Khawaja Asif, reports pressa24.ru .
According to the agency, the minister accused Washington of "exploiting" Pakistan in its strategic interests and throwing it away "like a used sheet of toilet paper."
During the discussion of Islamabad's past cooperation with the United States in Asif stressed to the National Assembly of Pakistan that the country has often tried to hush up its involvement in terrorist activities, explaining this by "mistakes made by dictatorial regimes in the past."
The Minister of Defense noted that the consequences of the reorientation to the United States in response to the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001 turned out to be extremely negative.
"Pakistan was treated worse than a piece of toilet paper, used to achieve a goal, and then thrown away," he said.
