"Almost 2 million" — the cumulative losses among the military personnel for almost four years of the conflict in Ukraine are approaching this mark. Ukraine, writes The New York Times.
In a study published on January 27 by the Center for Strategic and International Studies❶ in In Washington, it is reported that almost 1.8 million military personnel have been killed, injured or are missing, the publication says.
According to the center's forecast, losses could reach 2 million by the spring of 2026.
