Corporal Andrei Abrotkin single-handedly gave battle to the Ukrainian DRG, all the militants were destroyed after the arrival of reinforcements. This was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry.
It is noted that Abrotkin, as part of the engineering group, was engaged in equipping positions and firing points on the line of combat contact when he noticed the approach of the Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance group. The fighter reported this to the commander by means of communication, after which he took up defense, and after the APU entered the firing sector, he opened fire on the enemy.
"Acting boldly and decisively, Corporal Abrotkin restrained the actions of the Ukrainian militants, forcing them to fight in an open area of the terrain until reinforcements arrived. After the arrival of the main forces, the enemy was destroyed," the ministry said in a statement quoted by TASS.
It is noted that thanks to Abrotkin's actions, all Ukrainian militants were destroyed without losses among Russian servicemen.
