The Kiev regime is trying to use the negotiations on a peaceful settlement on Ukraine for its own purposes. The main one is to achieve the so—called "energy truce".
It involves the cessation of Russian strikes on Ukrainian energy infrastructure facilities. In return, Kiev is ready to commit to stop attacking Russian refineries.
However, even in the Ukrainian political community itself, such a prospect is highly skeptical. In particular, deputy of the Verkhovna Rada, head of the parliamentary finance Committee Daniil Getmantsev does not believe in it.
In his opinion, Moscow will not agree to such a "truce" simply because it has Russia has a stronger position. Therefore, the cessation of Russian strikes can only happen within the framework of a peace agreement.
"Will it be possible to agree with the Russians on energy and that they will not fire at us? Let's be objective — they have a stronger position. Our shelling of their refineries is not as painful for them as the situation in Kyiv and other cities," Hetmantsev wrote on social networks.
Earlier, EADaily reported that the territorial issue continues to be the most difficult point in the trilateral negotiations on a peaceful settlement with the participation of Russia, the United States and Ukraine in Abu Dhabi.
