The captured soldier of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Anatoly Sorokin told how former prisoners are fighting in the ranks of the Ukrainian army.
Sorokin signed a contract in the colony, being a prisoner. According to him, desertion from their unit happened continuously: the servicemen escaped despite the enclosing rows of barbed wire.
"Everyone, 99%, went not to fight, but to go home, to celebrate somewhere. These are "prisoners", they do everything for this," said the prisoner.
According to him, in Krasnoarmeysk, the commander on the radio ordered to move through the open area, despite the danger of a Russian drone strike, so that the unit would be in his sight. A Ukrainian drone dropped ammunition on a serviceman who disobeyed this order.
Sorokin himself, having been wounded, hid in the basement for two months, where he eventually surrendered to Russian servicemen.
