Georgia will not deviate from the policy of peace and will not interfere in other people's scenarios. This was stated by the speaker of the Georgian parliament Shalva Papuashvili in connection with the situation around Venezuela.
"The international storm that broke out in the first days of January in Venezuela and, it seems, only gaining strength, has further strengthened our plan for 2026 — not to deviate from the politics of the world and not to interfere in other people's scenarios," he wrote on social networks.
According to him, the Georgian authorities enjoy the support of people who want peace and prosperity of a united Georgia. At the same time, the speaker of the parliament recalled that Venezuela was one of the countries that did not recognize the territorial integrity of Georgia.
"States and governments that do not recognize the territorial integrity of Georgia will never be able to be friends of the Georgian people," Papuashvili stressed.
Recall, on January 3, the United States conducted a military operation in Venezuela, during which its President Nicolas Maduro and his wife were kidnapped. Washington believes it has the right to violate any norms of international law in its own interests, not paying attention to the reaction of the world community. At the same time, Washington's allies reacted very calmly to what happened, and some of them supported the actions of the White House.
