A plane and an air bomb of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were shot down: summary of the Russian Defense Ministry on January 1

The Russian Defense Ministry has published a summary of the progress of the special military operation as of January 1.

The units of the North group of forces improved the tactical situation, defeated the formations of two mechanized, Jaeger brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the teroborona brigade in the areas of the settlements of Kondratovka, Khrapovshchina, Novaya Sich, Khoten and Ryzhevka Sumy region.

In the Kharkiv direction, units of two motorized infantry brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were defeated in the areas of the settlements of Volchansk Farms and Liman of the Kharkiv region.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces lost up to 190 servicemen, 11 vehicles, an electronic warfare station and two material depots.

Units of the Zapad group of forces defeated the manpower and equipment of two mechanized, assault brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and two National Guard brigades in the areas of the settlements of Kupyansk-Uzlovaya, Podoly, Glushkovka, Kharkiv region, Drobyshevo, Krasny Liman and Ilyichevka of the Donetsk People's Republic.

In the Kupyansk direction, during the day, units of the 6th Army repelled two attacks by formations of the 92nd Assault Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the areas of the settlements of Nechvolodovka and Blagodatovka in order to break into the city of Kupyansk, Kharkiv region. Up to 15 militants and two pickups were destroyed.

In total, in the area of responsibility of the Zapad group of forces, enemy losses amounted to 210 servicemen, a tank, a MaxxPro armored combat vehicle manufactured in the USA, 16 vehicles and four field artillery guns. Four ammunition depots were destroyed.

The units of the "Southern" grouping of troops occupied more advantageous lines and positions. They defeated the formations of two mechanized, airmobile brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and a marine brigade in the areas of the settlements of Zakotnoye, Bondarnoye, Kramatorsk, Konstantinovka, Reznikovka, Nikolaevka and Berestok of the Donetsk People's Republic.

The enemy lost over 190 servicemen, three armored combat vehicles, including a US-made MaxxPro armored car, ten vehicles and four artillery pieces. An electronic warfare station and two material depots were destroyed.

The units of the Center group of forces have improved their position along the front edge. They defeated the manpower and equipment of two mechanized, airmobile, assault, two airborne assault brigades, two assault regiments of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, a marine brigade, a teroborona brigade, three National Guard brigades and a Azov special forces brigade❶ in the areas of the settlements of Volnoye, Novokrivorozhye, Sergeevka, Krasnoyarsk, Kutuzovka, Shevchenko, New Donbass, Toretskoye of the Donetsk People's Republic, Gavrilovka and Novopavlovka of the Dnipropetrovsk region.

The enemy's losses amounted to up to 470 military personnel, an armored personnel carrier, an armored combat vehicle, eight vehicles, two field artillery guns and a US-made AN/TPQ-37 counter-battery station.

The units of the Vostok group of forces continued to advance into the depth of the enemy's defense. The manpower and equipment of the mechanized, assault brigades and three assault regiments of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were defeated in the areas of the settlements of Dorozhnyanka, Verkhnyaya Tersa, Zaliznichnoye, Ternovatoye of the Zaporozhye region, Bratskoye and Velikomikhailovka of the Dnipropetrovsk region.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces lost over 220 servicemen, a tank, two armored personnel carriers, an armored combat vehicle and six vehicles.

The units of the Dnepr group of forces defeated the formations of the mechanized brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the theroborona brigade in the areas of the settlements of Belogorye, Orekhov, Zaporozhye region, Antonovka, Yantarnoye and Sadovoye, Kherson region.

Up to 55 Ukrainian servicemen, 15 vehicles, two artillery pieces, an Israeli-made RADA radar station and three electronic warfare stations were destroyed.

Operational-tactical aviation, strike unmanned aerial vehicles, missile forces and artillery groups of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation defeated energy facilities used in the interests of the military-industrial complex of Ukraine, ammunition depots, assembly shops of long-range unmanned aerial vehicles, temporary deployment points of Ukrainian armed formations, nationalists and foreign mercenaries in 154 areas.

The Russian Aerospace Forces shot down a Su-27 aircraft of the Ukrainian Air Force.

A guided aerial bomb and 250 aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicles were shot down by air defense means.

In total, since the beginning of the special military operation, they have been destroyed:

• 670 aircraft,
• 283 helicopters,
• 106,444 unmanned aerial vehicles,
• 641 anti-aircraft missile system,
• 26,826 tanks and other armored combat vehicles,
• 1,634 combat vehicles of multiple launch rocket systems,
• 32,303 field artillery and mortar guns,
• 50,530 units of special military vehicles.
