In France, the police detained the ex-Prosecutor General of Ukraine Svyatoslav Piskun. This was reported on December 17 by the Ukrainian edition "Страна.иа ".
"This happened after searches conducted by French law enforcement officers at the request of the State Bureau of Investigation, and as a result of the searches, law enforcement officers received grounds to detain the ex-Prosecutor General," the telegram channel of the publication said.
The official reason for the searches was not disclosed. Investigators suggest that Piskun could have received a bribe in order to close the 2003 case of the murder of a lawyer, whose client, according to investigators, could have been the Ukrainian oligarch Igor Kolomoisky❶.
