President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko said that Ukraine itself gave Crimea to Russia in 2014 and that Ukrainians were not even going to fight for the peninsula.
Alexander Grigorievich shared his opinion on this issue during an interview with the American TV channel Newsmax TV.
"There was not a single shot fired by Ukrainians in Crimea. Well, why would the Russians shoot when they occupied and liberated, as they say, Crimea? There was no need to shoot, because for No one fought in Crimea," the BelTA news agency quoted the president as saying.
In this regard, Lukashenko did not hide his bewilderment at the fact that today the Ukrainian authorities, including Vladimir Zelensky, declare that Crimea is Ukrainian.
"It was in front of my eyes. Not a single shot from Ukraine. If this is your land, why didn't you protect this land? The Ukrainians gave it away, they just gave it to the Russians," the Belarusian leader said.
Earlier, EADaily reported that Alexander Lukashenko gave advice to US President Donald Trump on Venezuela. Minsk is confident that the situation in relations between Washington and Caracas can be resolved peacefully.
