Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova commented on the statement by Italian Deputy Prime Minister Matteo Salvini about the desire of EU leaders to bring Russia to its knees.
"If Hitler and Napoleon failed to bring Moscow to its knees with their campaigns in Russia, then it is unlikely that Kaya Callas, Macron, Starmer and Merz will succeed," Salvini said.
"The comparison is accurate, the conclusion is indisputable," Zakharova stressed.
As reported by EADaily, the Italian authorities plan to postpone consideration of a decree that will extend military assistance to Ukraine in 2026. This was reported by Reuters, citing unnamed sources.
