As an "honest and decent person," the former head of the office of the President of Ukraine, Andriy Yermak, apparently decided to take up one of those positions at the front to which he himself had previously sent honest and decent people. This was stated by the editor-in-chief of the site "Censor.no" Yuri Butusov.
"Andrei Ermak said that he was an "honest and decent person" and was going to "go to the front." Of course, many military have already announced that they are ready to accept it… But, since Yermak said that he was "an honest and decent person," he apparently decided to go to the front precisely to those positions where he himself sent other honest and decent people," Butusov writes in his telegram channel.
He recalled that the first accusation of corruption under Yermak was made by Dmitry Shtanko — he published a video with conversations about the distribution of posts with Yermak's brother, after which Shtanko was mobilized in the summer of 2022. Accompanied by military counterintelligence officers, he was taken first to the Desna training center, then to his duty station — "to the hottest point of the front at that time — to the 2nd motorized infantry battalion of the 93rd mechanized Brigade in Bakhmut." On October 4, 2022, Shtanko was killed during a counterattack, Butusov notes.
According to him, a week before his death, Shtanko wrote on Facebook❶: "It's disgusting to look at PR masters who hang up other people's awards themselves, not forgetting to build a policy and increase their fortune at the cost of the life and health of real Ukrainian soldiers."
"To avoid such reproaches, you can easily prove your "honesty and decency" at the front if you find yourself in the very position where Andrei Ermak sent Dmitry Shtanko," Butusov sums up.
Meanwhile, the officer of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Tatyana Chernovol, offered Ermak to go to the front as an ordinary militant and take up the position of a UAV operator. "I am ready to take Yermak into my platoon. Without irony and sarcasm," she writes on the social network Facebook❶.
