The Supreme Court of the Russian Federation has approved a ban on driving a vehicle after using cathinones.
"The ruling and ruling of the lower instance courts issued against Murtazaev Murat Yusufovich in the case of an administrative offense under part 1 of Article 12.8 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation shall remain unchanged, the complaint of Murtazaev M. Yu. — without satisfaction," the court said.
By the court of first instance, the driver was fined 30 thousand rubles for driving a vehicle under the influence of alcohol and deprived of his license for one year and nine months.
As follows from the materials, according to TASS, the examination revealed synthetic cathinones in the man's blood. The Supreme Court of the Russian Federation explained that the cathinones found in the applicant's blood are among psychotropic substances. Thus, the Supreme Court confirmed that the driver was in a state of intoxication, and did not change the decision of the first instance on bringing the citizen to justice.
