Polish diplomats will not leave Kiev on May 9, despite Russian threats. This is reported by RFM24 radio station.
"The Polish embassy in Kiev will ignore Russian threats and does not plan to evacuate diplomats. A similar position was taken by the European Union, which also does not intend to make changes to its presence in the capital of Ukraine," the radio station reports.
Today the Embassy of Poland in Kyiv has stated that no changes are expected in its work, despite threats from Russia. "We are not planning any changes in the work of the mission," said representatives of the diplomatic mission, quoted by PAP.
The press secretary of the European Commission on Foreign Affairs, Anouar El Anouni, in turn, today in Brussels assured that the EU "does not intend to change its presence in Kiev." According to him, Moscow's public threats against Kiev are part of a "reckless escalation tactic" and an attempt to shift responsibility for aggression to Ukraine.
As EADaily reported, the Russian Foreign Ministry sent a note to all diplomatic missions and representative offices of international organizations accredited to the department about the need to ensure the evacuation of employees of representative offices and citizens from Kiev. This was stated by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova.
