Military-political commentator Mikhail Onufrienko commented on the agreement on Ukraine's acquisition of SAMP/T air defense systems from Paris. According to the expert, the SAMP/T system is compared with the Patriot, but it is more expensive than the American one.
"The SAMP/T uses an Aster 30 rocket — a five-meter fool weighing almost half a ton," Onufrienko said on Sputnik radio.
The contract provides for the supply of only 700 such missiles to Kiev, which is comparable to the number of UAVs launched The Russian Armed Forces for strikes on Ukraine at the same time, the expert explained.
