A backpack with the remains of a teenager was found in the Moscow pond

Workers found a backpack in the Golyanovsky pond, which contained the remains of a teenager. Investigators are conducting operational actions.

"On November 16, 2025, a backpack containing a fragment of a minor's body was found in the Golyanovsky Pond," the Investigative Committee of Russia in Moscow reports.

Specialists conducted a preliminary examination and found that the age of the deceased is from seven to ten years.

The investigative committee opened a criminal case on the grounds of a crime under Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (murder).

"Currently, investigators and criminologists of the metropolitan SK are working at the scene of the incident. Investigative actions are being carried out aimed at establishing all the circumstances of the incident," the Investigative Committee reports.

Later, the department clarified that investigators and criminologists with the involvement of a group of divers of the Russian Emergencies Ministry continue to inspect the pond.

According to the SHOT telegram channel, citing sources, a backpack with the remains of a murdered schoolboy was found by workers who were making repairs near the Golyanovsky Pond.

"A terrible find was made today around 9:30. Immediately after that, the workers called the police to the place," the telegram channel writes.
