The authorities of New York are preparing for the invasion of the city by National Guard units or the FBI. This is reported by Politico.

After the election of socialist Democrat Zohran Mamdani as mayor, the New York government fears that US President Donald Trump, who threatened to "deal" with Mamdani, may send troops into the city, the newspaper writes.

"Alarmed by what Trump might do in response to the election of Zohran Mamdani as mayor of New York, Governor Katie Hochul organized a virtual war room and held talks with law enforcement agencies, business officials and activist groups to stop or at least mitigate any federal intrusion," the publication says, a fragment of which quoted by the publication "Country".

It is noted that Trump and Mamdani have been in conflict for a long time, constantly releasing accusations against each other.

In particular, Mamdani has already stated that New York will not support Trump's program to deport migrants and will be a "trump-resistant" city.
