Kenyan President William Ruto had a telephone conversation with the head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky, in which he asked for the release of the Kennians captured in the war zone.
The corresponding statement was published by the African politician on the social network X. During the conversation, both sides "expressed concern that young Kenyans were illegally recruited to participate in the war on Ukraine".
"I have appealed to President Zelensky with a request to facilitate the release of any Kenyan in custody in Ukraine," Ruto wrote.
According to the Standard newspaper, we are talking about Kenyans who were captured by the Ukrainian military after they found themselves in Russia or in the combat zone on Ukraine.
Earlier, EADaily reported that an interdepartmental group led by the Kenyan Navy arrested six Iranians for drug smuggling worth $ 63 million.
